Hello there! I have not blogged in a long time. And, I think it's because I hadn't found what I truly wanted to blog about. Yes, I love fashion, I love photography, I love the creative outlet that Instagram gives me. But writing a full blog post about those things wasn't working for me. I will still use social media to share outfits and photos, but I'm hoping to transition this blog space into something new!
What is that something new? I'm glad you asked. Well, my 'thing' is being able to find really cool restaurants anywhere I go! It's become something that my family & friends know about me and I like the challenge now. So, I'm going to start sharing all these places! Both in the area that I live in, and when I travel.
So, the first place I'm going to share is Cheryl's Place in Brighton, MI. I just went here over the weekend so it's fresh in my mind. However, I do plan on writing about places I've been to in the past in places like Portland, Denver, Las Vegas, San Diego, Charleston, and all over the Michigan!
Cheryl's Place in Brighton is a little diner type place off the highway. My mom and I were heading from where we live near Detroit to Ludington for the weekend and needed to stop for breakfast. Cheryl's Place had good reviews but seemed pretty unassuming from the online presence. We actually pulled off the highway to go somewhere else but this place caught our eye! It's shaped like a castle!

The inside has a diner-like feel, but it's comfy and clean. The staff was so friendly and personable. My mom and I both ordered eggs benedict and it was so good! The ham was perfect! We also split an order of cinnamon swirl french toast, which was also very good. Honestly, I loved the coffee too.
So, next time you're out in Brighton, MI, hit up Cheryl's Place for a great breakfast!
